Ashley & Broomhill Community Council's September meeting with Sport Aberdeen:
After public consultation, Ruthrieston Sports Centre has now been renamed to the Great Western Sports Centre.
The centre currently has 5 tennis courts, a bowling green, green space and a pavilion. However, without community input and backing, it is difficult for the City Council and Sport Aberdeen to assign scarce resources to this very valuable space; so we'd encourage everyone to get involved and have their say.
Based on the wider community's ideas and support, the Community Council will look into funding to upgrade the Sports Centre accordingly.
